The 2nd transnational project meeting, Croatia – hybrid – on October 21-22, 2021

Transnational Meeting in Croatia At the end of October, the first offline meeting of the SoMoveED project partners took place. First, we met in Zagreb, and the next day we talked about the project in Petrinja and Sisak. Unfortunately, the pandemic prevented the arrival of some of the partners, which is why the meeting was held in a hybrid formula. It was not easy, but fortunately the Udruga IKS team prepared everything perfectly and it worked. Technologies have helped reduce the distance between us. It’s good that we were able to meet via Zoom. Thank you for being with us on-line. On the 21.10. partners arrived to Zagreb and spent the next day in Petrinja and Sisak with employees of Association IKS. They are one of the Social Education on the Move partners. Udruga IKS carries out many projects for young people and the inhabitants of Petrinja and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, only ruins remain of the organization’s beautiful headquarters after the earthquake in 2020. Currently, they work in a container that they got from donors and try to support the inhabitants in this challenging situation as much as possible. By organizing activities for children and adolescents, coordinating the help provided to residents. Concrete work, concrete results. Despite these difficulties, which unexpectedly fell on them, they are implementing the projects they have started. Thank you Gordana Paton, Nadja Matešić, Dusanka Pjevač, Tamara Jovičić for being SoMoveED! The photos show the SoMoveED team during a research walk in Petrinja. Our guide was Nadja Matešić. Thank you for this reflective walk, which has significantly changed the perception of our problems. Due to the fact that the seat of our Croatian partner Udruga IKS was destroyed during last year’s earthquake, the SoMoveED project meeting was held in several places. We spent the first evening in Zagreb, and the second day we visited Petrinja. The hybrid meeting took place on the premises of SKWHAT, a friend of Udruga IKS, in Sisak. Many thanks, Klub mladih Skwhat, for inviting us! This was the first face-to-face meeting opportunity since SoMoveED was launched. We talked about matters relating to the project. We discussed the ways of implementing outputs and the problems that make our work difficult. The most intense time in the implementation of the project is ahead of us.
